SA Students, Faculty Attend National Conference on Diversity, 股本, and Inclusion
Students and several faculty members attended the People of Color Conference and the Student Diversity Leadership Conference—both virtual events—this fall.
Five students who are part of Saint Andrew’s equity and justice team joined dozens of others across the country to better understand the work of equity and inclusion in academic settings, as well as build a stronger community of togetherness and support for all students.
SDLC Adviser and Diversity, 股本, and Inclusion director Danielle Firmino said the weeklong event allowed students to collaborate with each other and discuss issues of diversity and inclusion with their peers in a national forum.
“The students appreciated the opportunity to connect with others around the ideas of diversity and themes of inclusion,” said Firmino. “We will use what we have learned to bring projects and ideas back to the Saint Andrew’s School community and make sure all students feel included.”
Students who participated in the virtual SDLC conference this year are Anisa Fox
Camryn Williams, Amy Wang, Michelle Voicu, and Venus Wang.
